Accelerating GenAI readiness in Higher Education

The Project in Brief

ATLAS aims to design, test and promote Generative AI Use Cases in higher education to enhance teachers’ efficiency, teaching effectiveness and student engagement. It empowers professors to integrate GenAI tools into their activities in an ethically responsible, pedagogically sound and easily scalable way.
In a rapidly evolving educational landscape, there are several open questions on how Artificial Intelligence can be used in higher education institutions, supporting learning without compromising pedagogical, ethical, and social aspects Through experimentations, faculty training, GenAI guidelines, and Use Cases development, the project contributes to responding to the pressing need for structured frameworks, tools, and expertise to ensure a beneficial AI adoption in higher education institutions, both for teachers and students.

What makes ATLAS innovative

for educators

by creating structured training programs based on Use Cases Cards and designed as micro-credentials.

using an agile approach

by developing Use Cases through two cycles of experimentation and incorporating the fast-changing GenAI functionalities and improvements.

across the partnership

by testing GenAI tools in many university courses of at least 4 different disciplines, ensuring practical and easily transferable insights.

for teaching and tutoring

by ranging from course content creation to adaptive assessments, from handing repetitive information tasks to automated feedback.

What makes ATLAS impacful

The project partnership is composed of 10 partners and 14 associated partners representing a total of 12 countries. By bringing together the commitment, assets and expertise from across different institutions, the partnership aims to:
