The Work Path

The ATLAS project is structured into 5 work packages playing a pivotal role in project planning, execution, and monitoring.

Work Package 1

Project Management

WP1 focuses on managing and coordinating the project, ensuring the entire project runs smoothly, stays within budget and timelines, and meets quality standards.

Work Package 2

Designing and testing Use Cases on GenAI for TEACHING

WP2 focuses on exploring and integrating Generative AI into teaching by creating and refining comprehensive training materials to support teachers in effectively integrating these tools into their teaching activities.

The training materials will be made of:

  • a set of 40 Use Case Cards on GenAI applied to teaching
  • a replicable and scalable training package for further teachers onboarding

Work Package 3

Designing and testing GenAI solutions for TUTORING

WP3 focuses on developing and sharing a set of use cases that demonstrate how Generative AI can improve tutoring activities and enhance the learner experience. This includes simplifying access to relevant information and improving the quality and timeliness of feedback to learners.

Main outputs will be:

  •  A set of 20 Use Case Cards on GenAI applied to tutoring
  • Evaluation Report
  • Training (onboarding workshops) to equip teaching and non-teaching staff with the necessary skills to integrate AI into tutoring effectively

Work Package 4

Evaluating the implications of the use of GenAI in education

WP4 focuses on developing a structured approach to design and conduct experiments on Generative AI  Use Cases, as described in WP2 and WP3. Based on the collected evidence, it will provide clear guidelines for their effective use in teaching and tutoring.

The main result will be the “ATLAS GUIDELINES on the responsible use of GenAI for teaching and tutoring,” which will provide professors, educators, administrative staff, and policymakers with practical strategies for effective GenAI adoption in higher education courses, including practices transferable to different learning environments.

Work Package 5

Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation

WP5 focuses on ensuring the visibility, impact, and sustainability of ATLAS results by implementing a targeted dissemination and communication strategy. Through continuous engagement with academia and beyond, WP5 aims to maximise awareness, adoption, and replication of effective and responsible Generative AI-driven Use Cases on teaching and tutoring across Europe.
